How to Pack Fragile Items Safely

Fragile ceramic dinnerware, glass decorations, mirrors, and electronic panels are the most vulnerable assets during shifting. Standard cardboard packaging is often insufficient to absorb vibrations on highways. Follow these professional packaging steps.

1. Layer the Base

Never place fragile items directly against a box floor. Crumple clean newspaper or foam sheets to create a 3-inch shock absorption cushion at the base of your carton boxes.

2. Wrap Individually

Wrap every single plate, cup, or frame individually. Standard practice includes wrapping with bubble wrap, followed by taping the edges securely. Never let glass rub against glass inside a box.

3. Stack Vertically

Plates are structurally stronger when stacked vertically (like records in a crate) rather than flat. This redirects road impacts through the sides of the plates rather than the weak centers.
